Due to its leanness, Longhorn beef is generally more tasty when cooked slightly less-than-well-done, but it is not dry or tough!
Because it is so lean, there is virtually no shrinkage when it cooks, so make your hamburgers the size you want them when done!!
Our beef is raised with NO antibiotics (if needed for an acute problem, slaughter is delayed until health is restored and medicine is out of its system, per veterinary directions). NO additional hormones are added for growth, and we do not "feed out" our animals in feedlots with corn or other high-calorie feeds. Our Longhorns come right off the natural grass pasture.
Longhorns for Breeding or Starting Your Own Herd:
We currently have several cattle registered with the International Texas Longhorn Association (ITLA) in Glen Rose, Texas. However, our herd consists of even more rugged individuals. They are all purebred, but we save the registration paperwork for the most deserving!
Whether you are looking for some young heifers, bulls, or seasoned cows, we have what you need! Please call us for more information. We also have several steers that you might want to train to ride, or to turn out with your other cattle for companionship or just to stop traffic!
Please look at our other page for specific animals for sale.
Other Longhorn Products:
Horns, skulls and hides are available on a limited basis. Please call for more information.
