The Kelly Family has been in the cattle ranching business for 95 years, with their newest venture into Texas Longhorns. Preserving the values of the Old West, with an eye to minimal impact on the environment, we are proud to offer the healthiest beef available anywhere. Our Longhorns are all grass-fed, natural diet, with no added hormones or antibiotics. Winter feed is supplemented only with hay, as weather and pasture conditions may dictate.

 

We truly enjoy our animals, and try to provide a comfortable environment for optimal growth and fertility. There is nothing like seeing the whole herd coming in for water with all the bouncy little calves running alongside their mothers, with the herd sire bringing up the rear!

 

Our breeding program is focused on optimizing the health and conformation of each animal, with an eye toward variety of color and the traditionally large growth of horn.

 

We offer individual animals for sale for  your breeding program, as well as custom-cut beef for your nutritional needs. Longhorn beef is very lean, but flavorful, with almost no shrinkage during cooking. It is the healthiest option for people who need a low-fat source of protein, but would like a change from poultry and fish!

  

 

Conventional Beef Cattle: We have Angus and Angus-cross cattle, also grass-fed, with no antibiotics or hormones added. Winter feed is supplemented with cake and locally-grown hay, to maintain their health and growth.

 

 

Roping Cattle: "Bill" is our Corriente bull, and he has a fine collection of Corriente and Corriente/Longhorn cross cows and their calves! Long-valued in the roping arena, we offer a nice crop of calves each year, with the horns and temperament sought for competition.
